HOW THE LICENSEE PROGRAM WORKS
If it's rechargeable, it's recyclable.
The portable rechargeable power industry produces millions of rechargeable battery packs every year for use in cordless power
tools, cellular and cordless phones, laptop computers, digital cameras, two-way radios, camcorders, and remote control toys. But
what happens when those long-life batteries can no longer hold a charge? RBRC has the answer.
Meeting all federal and state mandates RBRC has developed a program to recycle portable rechargeable batteries - Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Lithium Ion (Li-ion), and Small Sealed Lead *(Pb). We are a non-profit, public service organization working to educate rechargeable power users about the benefits and accessibility of rechargeable battery recycling.
But for us to recycle your rechargeable batteries, the RBRC Battery Recycling Seal has to be on the batteries. If you make, market or collect rechargeable batteries or the products that use these batteries, RBRC is your recycling solution.
* weighing up to 2lbs/1kg per battery
Please note: although RBRC’s Call2Recycle program includes cell phone recycling, only the rechargeable battery recycling portion is funded by the OEMs and Licensees.
