Since our inception in 1994, our mission remains clear—educate people about rechargeable battery and cell phone recycling, and make it easy to participate by providing convenient drop-off sites across the U.S. and Canada.

RBRC is a non-profit public service organization that operates the Call2Recycle™ program, its rechargeable battery and cell phone recycling program, through retail stores, community solid waste programs, businesses, and public agencies. The program is funded by licensing the RBRC Battery Recycling Seal to manufacturers and marketers of rechargeable batteries and battery-powered products.

Together with its partners, RBRC is preserving natural resources and reducing the amount of rechargeable batteries and cell phones that enter the solid waste stream. That means a safer, cleaner and healthier environment for everyone!
